True Story

The other night I was sitting, talking with my husband about different things in general and I said to him, " Today on the radio I heard a country banned artificial sweeteners." and my husband said, " Oh, are they any, good?" and sat for a moment a little confused and then decided to repeat myself thinking he must not have heard me correctly. After repeating the statement he said, " Well, what station where they on, what kind of country do they sing?" I said " I'm not talking about a country BAND! I talking about a country that BANNED artificial sweeteners!"

I recently read a Q and A piece with a very famous rocker mom. One of the questions was about how hard it is for her to raise a child and do what she does. This is not the first time I have heard this type of question put to someone who is high profile ( and pays more for a hand bag than I make in 6 months). Anyway, each person has a similar response about how hard it is to juggle motherhood and a career such as theirs. And every time I sit back and laugh! These women have NO CLUE what it is like to be a single working mom! I find it almost insulting, but then I remember that they usually have been so far removed from working class they've become "reality ignorant".
I would love to enlighten them on what it is like to have two jobs, while trying to raise 2 kids AND go to college full-time. Then lets see how long they whine about the hardships they face being a single mom. However I guess it's just one of those things.................O.K. I'm done now.
